How do you feel about being labeled one of the Zaleb’s sexiest women in Mzansi?

It took me many years to get to the place where I could consider myself attractive – I’m glad I didn’t linger in the “am I pretty?” phase for too long!

In school you deal with the awkwardness of discovering what you like or dislike about yourself. You gradually discover what makes you beautiful and it isn’t the most whoop-de-doo experience, but the sooner you realise that you’ll never be everyone’s flavour the quicker you get out of that space.

Travelling and being submerged in other cultures opened my eyes to unorthodox beauty and it made me start celebrating the things that made me unique.

Hey, in Europe the gents seemed to love my curly hair! When I got home I simply didn’t care about whether people thought I was hot or not. That attitude is what makes someone attractive.

How would you describe your ideal man?

My ideal man is my husband. He’s caring, loving and gentle yet he knows exactly when to challenge me, push me and correct me. He allows me to be the strong, passionate and determined woman that I am. He is a perfectly balanced combination of best friend and passionate lover. That’s pretty ideal in my books…

Do you have any local and international celebrity crushes?

Nah…but I used to be the biggest David Beckham fan when I was younger! Although I’ve tried to tell him otherwise, my hubby is convinced I still harbour a secret crush on Spiderman/Peter Parker!

What is your idea of the perfect date?

It’d have to be a delicious candlelit dinner with Bossa Nova playing softly in the background. Preferably on a yacht anchored along the moonlit Côte D’Azur on a warm summer’s evening…but I’ll take anywhere that’s had at least a weeks’ worth of thought put into it! I’m not high maintenance at all!
