Now is your chance to meet some of the country’s biggest TV zalebs. They will be on the east coast from today, touching base with their fans…
Scandal star, Kagiso Modupe, heads up the impressive list of e.tv celebs, including stars from Rhythm City, Scandal, Blame It On Fame and Club 808 will be entertaining fans during an action-packed, entertainment weekend.
Kagiso, who plays Mangi on Scandal, has told East Coast Radio’s Anisa Ussuph that it is a chance for them to get to know the people who have supported them over the years. The actor, who has a degree in Sports Science and Sports Psychology, says he is always blown away by the humility of the people of KZN.
Kagiso says his character Mangi is pretty much a mirror of who he is in real life. “The only difference is when I get serious. What you see on Scandal is basically me because I try and bring myself into the character and have fun with it.”
Kagiso adds that it is “quite cool” to be a big-time celebrity but stresses that sometimes the constant media glare can be overwhelming, especially when he has to sacrifice his family time for the sake of his fans.
You will be able to meet Kagiso including fellow Scandal actors Siyabonga Shibe and Brighton Ngoma; Rhythm City’s Nokuthula Ledwaba, Mduduzi Mabaso and Nolo Phiri.
Blame It On Fame’s Hlelo and Ntando Masina, Club 808′s Dineo Ranaka and Mo Flava; and Kelly Khumalo. In addition to meeting your favourite TV actors and actresses, you will be able to take pics with them and get their autographs. The stars will be at the Bridge City Shopping Centre in Umlazi today (24 August) from 2pm to 4pm and at the De La Sol Cocktail Bar in Florida Road from 9:30pm.
On Saturday, 25 August, you can catch them at Max’s Lifestyle in Umlazi from 2pm.
