Crown Gospel Awards founder, preacher, author and businesswoman Zanele Mbokazi, has added talk show host to her already impressive resume.

The Durban based zaleb has started recording the first episodes of her upcoming show Khwezela/Rekindle which will be broadcast on Sundays on SABC 1 at 17:30. The show will deal with relevant relationship and family issues.

Zanele says she is excited about the transition to talk show host. “Becoming a talk show host is something that I always wanted to do. It seemed like a logical progression. First I was on radio, then print in the form of an author and now I am on TV. It’s just an extension of who I am.”

“On the show we speak about relationships based on Christian principles. We give God’s advice on how to relate to your partner, husband and other people in your life. It’s a relevant show because it deals with real problems  and addresses issues that affect everyone, irrespective of gender, social or financial status,” she explained at the filming of episodes one and two at the Urban Brew studios in Johannesburg.

Zanele says the message she hopes the audience will take from each show is that they should always take guidance from God. “We have one life. If you have people who are special to you, tell them that they are special before it’s too late.”
