Cassper Nyovest has done some incredible things in his career, but until very recently, some of us didn’t realise that he has broken boundaries across the globe - let alone in Mzansi.
This week it was reported that the rapper’s #FillUp series is the most successful solo-concert series in history. And by the way, that’s not just South African history, according to African Facts, this record is unmatched around the world!
The unmatched feat has earned him even more respect in local and international circles. In 2018, Cassper performed at the fourth installment of his #FillUp series which began with #FillUpTheDome in Johannesburg back in 2015. Since then, the rapper has gone on to fill up FNB and Orlando Stadiums, before going on to do the same at Moses Mabhida in Durban.
We can understand why Cassper is precious about the “Fill Up” tag, considering the brand he’s been able to turn it into. The rapper famously tried to take legal action against Limpopo-based artist, Benny Mayengani, who hosted an unrelated concert called “Fill Up Giyani Stadium”.
That turned out to be a mild distraction in what was an even greater story - the next big installment of what is now a world-class concert series. The only question is; which venue will he fill up next?
