Maphorisa is continuously praised for his versatility in the industry and his lengthy career has earned him some bragging rights.

As a person who has seen it all, his advice could be seen as gold, especially during this lockdown period.

Many artists both locally and internationally have been vocal about where their source of wealth comes from. Touring and performing on stage is said to be where the big bucks are.

However, with the coronavirus pandemic large gatherings are barred hence musicians cannot host events or have concerts.

Speaking to DRUM Magazine, he told the publication if only artists used his advice on acquiring some knowledge about the business, they would not be dependent on gigs to make money.

"Content is how people will make money during these times, but in these tough times it all boils down to what I said about understanding the business of music. Performances are not the only form of income for us and we should explore as much as possible," he said.

Phori plans on using this time to make more music and has also planned on launching PianoHub TV. This is where fans can experience Scorpion Kings' electric performances at the comfort of their homes.
