DJ Sbu has admitted that his daughter Wawa has positively impacted his life. In an interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG, the radio station owner said because of the five-year-old, he thinks about longevity.
"My daughter changed my life." The DJ continued: "My daughter made me to start thinking longevity, about legacy, about creating things that are going to look after her and her brothers and sisters in the future."
He explained that the shift happened automatically after she was born. "It was just God, though my child," he told MacG.
"I was like, 'yho, I'm an entertainer and entertainers are known for dying poor and broke. What if I die tomorrow, is my daughter sorted for life?' Then I started having those questions and looking at myself in the mirror and I was like, 'I need to start channeling my drive and my hustle towards things that are gonna be long-term'."
This is not the first time Sbu has spoken about how his daughter has changed his life. During an interview on e.tv's The Close Up in 2015, he said everything he does is for his baby girl.
"I'm not a perfect human being but she makes me want to become perfect. She makes me want to do things better. She makes me want to become a better brother, a better leader. She makes me want to... She made me make the decision to go back to school," Sbu shared.
Wawa turned five years old last month and the dotting dad took to Instagram to share a lovely message.
