DJ Zinhle and AKA are big on intention when it comes to co-parenting

When DJ Zinhle first came onto the scene as a DJ on one of Mzansi's most popular shows, Jika Majika, some people questioned her sexuality because of her "tomboy" appearance at the time. Back in the day, the DJ was not the glamazon she is right now as her style was pretty laid back.

The mother of one was recently interviewed on Podcast and Chill with MacG. During the interview, the former 947 host told Zinhle that he thought she was a lesbian, "When I first met you, I thought you were a lesbian dude, I’m not gonna lie. When I first met you, you used to always chill with this girl. I never saw you with a guy… And you’re dressing in, like, tomboy clothes,” he told her.

DJ Zinhle responded: "A lot of people seem to think so. It’s so weird. I don’t know if there’s a lesbian look. I mean there’s nothing wrong with being lesbian. I am definitely not a lesbian and it is a fair judgement."

In the same interview, Zinhle, who's a proud mother, spoke candidly about wanting more children. "I would like to have more children but the nine months is a long process, I wish I could but yoh... It just takes so long... I was talking to my nanny about it on our way home but sho man, taking time off work, its a lot..."

We don't doubt that she'll continue to be an amazing mother if she decides to expand her family. It looks like she's doing this parenting thing right.

What's her secret? Well, last week, Kairo's mama opened up about co-parenting with the father of her child, rapper AKA, and how they keep it healthy.

"I think the biggest thing is communication and my biggest thing that I communicate to Kiernan is good intentions, we both have to have good intentions about whatever we are having conversations about at the time and we both just want her to have an easy and comfortable life, so we have had to put aside a lot of our own personal things just to make sure that her stuff works out," she explained on Afternoon Express.
