Her big announcement was met with congratulatory messages from a lot of fans, industry colleagues and her rumoured bae Black Motion's Murdah Bongz. Following her major announcement the DJ started trending but not everyone was ready to sing her praises.
Trolls tried to downgrade her success and some even mentioned her ex AKA, saying he lost out big time when they separated. Not looking to be his usual petty self, he surprised many with his matured response, which many might inteperate as lowkey congratulating Zinhle.
"@akaworldwide lost a real one…rare breed I tell you." read the tweet, to which AKA responded by saying, "It’s weird how you can try and troll the pioneer of this entire industry while trying to discredit her success by involving me. Leave it alone man."
Others attempted to drag Bonang into the mix, who is also AKA's ex-girlfriend. In a tweet that was meant to be funny a troll said all of AKA's exes are in the alcohol business and then proceeded to try and weigh the women down or rather pit them together.
Bonang was not about the negativity as she broke the internet once again by posting thirst-trap snaps of her getaway in Cape Town.
Bonang Matheba recently celebrated her successful and impeccable MCC range, House Of BNG, as it became the best selling MCC at Woolworths. Her prestigious House Of BNG champagne was launched last year, in a swanky and star-studded event, attended by the heavyweights of Mzansi's showbiz.
Zinhle is also looking to do major things in the alcohol industry and she told All4Women that she is doing it for her daughter Kairo Owethu Forbes.
"Kairo is surrounded by hardworking women, whether it’s her grandmothers, myself, my sisters and friends and whole team is mainly females and she’s around them all the time and she understand the values of hard work.
"But more than anything, Kairo is a solution based thinker; anytime there is a problem she is always trying to find a way to resolve it…and that’s what I want to teach her, how to sell solutions, because that’s what people are looking for."
