The rapper took to social media and tweeted:
“It’s tax season y’all!! Make sure you don’t fumble the bag … stay out of those Sunday papers ya heard!!!” Sunday World reported that
the rapper owed the South African Revenue Service R355 676.98, back in 2019, while his ex-girlfriend Bonang Matheba was also reported to be owing SARS a hefty amount back in 2018.
The rapper allegedly failed to settle a his huge unpaid income tax bill and had his assets, such as his BMW and mansions confiscated for Sars to get their money back.
Another media personality who failed to pay the taxman was The Queen and Generations actor, Rapulana Seiphemo, who apparently appeared in court a day before Matheba on similar charges a few years ago.
The rapper’s tweets come a day after Sunday World reported that the Pretoria high court made a final provisional order against millionaire, Hamilton Ndlovu’s companies. Ndlovu’s bank accounts are also apparently frozen and his luxury cars are seized.
The businessman was the talk of the town last year when he posted a video where he showed off his fleet of expensive cars which were worth about R11m. Just as Zodwa Wabantu took back her R10million Lamborghini after Sars contacted her, Sars got interested in Ndlovu’s affairs after he flaunted his cars on social media.
Gauteng acting judge; Roland Surtheland had this to say about Ndlovu: “He thrust himself out of obscurity by doing two things. First, in May 2020 he bought five luxury vehicles at about the same time some of the other respondents received payments for lucrative contracts with the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS). Then he bragged about this feat on social media.”
