The finale of Idols SA season 18 came to a spectacular on Sunday night, with Thapelo Molomo emerging as thewinner. This was one of the most hotly contested seasons of the show yet. Nozi Sibiya was the season’s runner-up.

AKA set the stage ablaze when he performed a medley of songs including his smash hit All Eyes on Me, alongside JR Bogopa, and Somizi had a few express to about the performance.

The Idols SA judge did not mince his words when he said "I have seen better." Shortly after saying that, AKA gave  him a death stare and clearly his commentary did not sit well with the rapper.
Tweeps weighed on this and accused Somizi of inheriting Cassper and AKA's beef.

@theSA_brand commented: “Somizi is Cassper’s friend, but AKA had to keep calm and not take it that seriously #IdolsSA”

@LizaNjee commented: “Wasn’t Somizi involved in AKAs drama back then? Did they ever fix it?”

@DQFab_ZA commented "He always inherit beefs. Trust me."

In 2020, Somizi defended AKA following the backlash he received from the LGBTQI+ community after calling Cassper Nyovest a m**fie.

Somizi accepted AKA's apology and said everyone make mistakes. "I’d like to apologize to anybody offended by my use of the word “Moffie” in a previous tweet. At some point, i thought it wasn’t a big deal to use this word. I understand now that it’s not acceptable," tweeted Somizi.
In a series of tweets, AKA issued an apology to those he offended, and said he thought it was not a big deal: "I would like to apologize to anybody offended by my use of the word “Moffie” in a previous tweet. At some point, i thought it wasn’t a big deal to use this word. I understand now that it’s not acceptable."
