Award winning musician Babes Wodumo has left fans fuming after a video of her performance last night started circulating the streets of Twitter. The problem with the video was that it showed her dancing to her alleged abusers’ new song “kuneyngane layndlini”.
Many fans felt as if it was a blow to the face after attempting to mute Mampintsha.
“Does Babes Wodumo take what was done to her seriously? Does she respect those who went all out to stand by her and cancel Mampintsha? Does she understand that gender based violence and femicide are a real thing,” shared @PhiwaNk.
Others now agreed with the international hitmaker’s father that the star might have been given muti. During an interview with eNCA Babes father, Reverend Welcome Simelane, shared that he believed that muti had been used to control his daughter:
“I’m assuming that there is some muti being used. My daughter once found something under the bed that is like a doll, like a baby, with some strings and some muti around that thing and my daughter was not well. I prayed for my daughter, and another prophet that I don’t want to mention helped my daughter because of that.”
Tweeps also touched on the musician’s mental health as that is one of the side effects of being in an abusive relationship. They seemed to be were worried that the next time the star found herself in a similar situation she would not make it out alive.
“I don’t know what to make of Babes Wodumo anymore!! She’s truly sick in the head I’m pretty sure, does she understand that one day she’ll wake up and that man will kill her, and the public won’t care??”
Do you think that Babes performing that song was a sign of forgiving Mampintsha or do you side with the Tweeps?
