Wow, we would not want to be Black Coffee this week! Thieves broke into his car and stole a laptop which contained essential tracks, which were supposed to be released in the near future.
Those tracks may be lost forever as these thugs smashed and grabbed the phone from his vehicle, and in doing so making a terrible dent in the DJ's plans for the future.
DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, confirmed the news when he was on Metro FM on The Touch Down show on Friday.
He mentioned that he lost the entire project he was working on and planning to release. He told the audience members that: “I was visiting a friend in Pretoria, Brooklyn, and I parked my vehicle without noticing that someone was following me.
“When I came back, I was surprised and shocked to find that one of the rear windows of my car had been smashed and my laptop had been stolen,” he said.
The Buya hitmaker suspects the thugs were targeting him as they generally go after individuals they know, follow them and wait for an opportunity to perform a smash and grab attack.
Metro FM radio host Thabo Molefe formally known as Tbo Touch, has urged whoever is in possession of Black Coffee's laptop to return it to the SABC studios in Auckland Park, Jozi.
“We urge any person who finds himself in possession of Black Coffee’s laptop to return it to us at the SABC studios.
“Nobody will be asked how he got it. And some payment will be arranged,” added Tbo Touch.
DJ Black Coffee also added that the stolen laptop also contains some of his loved pictures of his wonderful wife, Mbali Mlotshwa.
