According to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela, the ratings have plummeted and now Cassper finally has a say on this matter.
TV: Braai Show Season 2 numbers declined after debut
— Kgopolo (@PhilMphela) October 19, 2021
Just over 2.2-million on September 8th was the most watched episode for the whole month, meaning subsequent episodes pulled lower viewers.

His fan, @PlanetFather2 he asked Cassper about how does he feel about this dip in ratings,. Perhaps load shedding did him dirty, "Cass. Phil says ratings are plummeting. How do you feel about this unprovoked attack on you? And do you feel load shedding has played a part in low ratings if that is factual?"
But Mufasa is not phased one bit, "I'm not even gonna explain anything my dawg. You always have the answers in your tweet but fact is, I made Big Bank and my client is very happy with my service. Everywhere I go I meet fans who watch it religiously and there is talks of a rerun."
But Mufasa says haters are convinced he is doing a lot of promo work for his TV show. But he is not paying any attention to the hate and that he is applying the pressure so he comes in hard this December.
Apparently I'm buying promo for #TheBraaiShowWithCass to trend. Batho ba rata go bua mawaza ka lina laka witsi. That's why I keep applying the pressure in real life!!! This December finna be lit for me!!! We going off!!! Bomb after bomb!!!!

After being "blindsided" by the producers, AKA did everything in his power to stop the airing of the show but he failed. He released statements after statements and they read, “By now as you are aware, The Braai Show goes to air tonight on SABC 1. This matter for me has always been about business principles and asserting my legal rights to my intellectual property and a binding contractual clause that clearly states that myself and MakhuduCom are equal partners to the Braai Show.
"When I took a personal decision on May 13, to step back from public engagements and day to day business, to heal. I personally engaged all my business partners, advising of this and my continued commitment to these partnerships. Never did I foresee a partnership with such personal connections and affiliations would be one to betray me like this.” Partly read the statement.

Cassper had also been battling some "silly accusations" of having affiliations with a secret society called Illuminati. The South African Hip Hop Awards, Artist Of The Decade nominee slammed claims that he does some rituals and said he only prays and works hard.
Cass was encouraging his fans to vote for him but one follower trolled him and said he gets his money and fame through his supposed affiliations with the illuminati. But Cassper said, “LOL, well this is silly. I pray for my blessings and I work hard. Simple math. As for things that involve snakes, bafethu, miss me,” he wrote. The father of one says he only lives by two things and that is prayer and hard work.
