Rapper, Cassper Nyovest, has been accused of seeking attention after a tweet he posted in light of the murder of soccer star, Senzo Meyiwa.
After news about the senseless killing of Senzo, Nyovest decided to air his opinion by sharing his experience with crime in South Africa.
“In August a fool pointed a gun at me and I was told I made too much of a big deal out of it. This morning one of our stars was gunned down.”
He added, “I don’t even watch soccer but I can tell you the atmosphere inda country is pretty dark. This is some sad shit. RIP Senzo Meyiwa.”
Apparently this didn’t go down too well on social media as people accused Cassper of seeking attention.
The rapper was quick to retaliate by posting, “Khuli Chana went through the same thing, shared his story and it’s cool. When I do it I want attention??? Pathetic!!!”
In another tweet he added, “It’s not even about me or Khuli Chana. It’s not even about me and AKA. It’s about the problem we have in South Africa regarding guns!!!”
Come on guys, cut the guy some slack.
