Denise Zimba calls out 'racist' wedding venue: 'We have a long way to go'

Denise Zimba has taken to social media to call out a 'racist' wedding venue. The TV presenter shared a video addressed to Nooitgedacht Estate, which is not only a residential area, but also a wedding venue.

Denise, who is part of M-Net's popular TV show, Wedding Bashers, said in one of the two clips she posted on Twitter: "So, these stupid motherf***s think that it's still ok to write on their website, for wedding venues, out of all things, what is it called? A 'slave quarter'."

The post was captioned: "Looking at wedding venues, and as a black woman living in Cape Town, this just reminds me that we have a long way to go." Check out the videos below.

One of the pages under the 'weddings' tab on the estate's website reads: "On the day of your wedding at Nooitgedacht, you and your party will have exclusive use of the estate – including our wedding accommodation in the Manor House, as well as three meticulously decorated and serviced guest house suites situated in the farm’s historic slave quarters (if required)."
