“Understand That You Have Some Toxic Traits Too”
Dineo Ranaka has been under fire for a wide range of reasons in the recent past, most of it boiling down to her character (or rather, people’s perception of it). Now, she has said that it is only mature to realise that everybody has a bit of toxicity in them.

Because of her no nonsense persona, the media personality is one of the most polarising celebrities in Mzansi – you either love her passionately or go strongly in the opposite direction. Wherever you stand, we cannot deny that she has been called toxic multiple times, especially on social media.

She recently shared a post on her Instagram stories about these accusations. According to her, everybody has a bit of toxicity in them. As such, mature people are willing to recognise the toxicity in them, and admit that sometimes they are the aggressor, and not always the aggrieved. And she may be right – it makes no sense that everybody else is the problem around you, while you remain pristine.

This is a wakeup call, not just for Dineo herself, but for her haters as well. She has defended herself in the past, saying that she is judged a lot and misunderstood, and people tend to take every small thing about her that they disagree with, turn it into a negative, and make it her whole “terrible” personality.

Now, not only does her post admit that once in a while, she has been in the wrong too. It is also a call for those who keep calling her toxic, to realise that she cannot always be the one at fault, and to look within and see all the times when they have been the toxic ones.

The radio presenter is no stranger to addressing slander about her on her Instagram stories. She recently used the same platform to make it clear that she is not “for the streets”. She did this with a screenshot which is part of a viral challenge, in which users show what their reaction would be if they received a call from a specific number.
In hers, she was getting a call from “The Streets”. She would decline it, and she said she would much rather stay at home instead. A good call, and also keeping with the great dating advice that her nine year old daughter had just given her – to “say bye bye” to men and block them.
