Following a recent altercation at Eyadini between Distruction Boyz and Mampintsha, the pair have decided they have had enough disrespect from the West Ink boss and have made inroads to claiming what they believe they are owed.

Speaking to YFM's DJ Sabby and Tshepi, the Gqom duo's manager, Sphamandla 'Spha' Gumede, went on the record to state that after months of waiting the pair had become fed up and had asked him to do something about the situation.
According to Gumede, they then consulted a lawyer who is currently looking into initiating a legal claim on their behalf.

"We're talking about millions... so, yoh! This is deep. I'm even with one of the gents right now and he doesn't even want to talk because he is so upset," said Gumede.

Gumede and the Distruction Boyz (real names Thobani 'Que' Mgobhozi and Zipho 'Goldmax' Mthembu) have estimated that they are owed over R7 Million rand to date based on all the times the song has been picked up for commercial use, including the Black Panther film which brought in billions at the global box office and is one the highest grossing films in South African box office history. He also explained that as producers, they are officially entitled to 50% of the royalties from the commercial use of the song.

When asked to estimate how much Mampintsha owes to date, Spha went on to estimate that it currently stand at a whopping R15 Million.
The pair have since taken to social media to air their frustrations, sharing numerous screenshots of messages that were allegedly sent to Mampintsha (who, according to the screenshots never responded) as well as memes poking fun at Mampintsha.
TV and radio presenter, Ntando Duma also joined their crusade, stating that she is yet to be paid by Mampintsha and West Ink Records for her collaboration with Babes Wodumo.
Yikes!
