MacG has been sternly warned by the DJ and said they will meet at gigs and exchange punches. This follows Phori's his Instagram live session, where he responded to a few industry-related questions, and a fan accused him of being a gatekeeper.
"We will meet at gigs and he will be scared because I go with bodyguards. He will have to explain to me what he was saying," he said.
The two have been feuding after Mac G accused the amapiano producer of being a gatekeeper. This follows after Kabza said he heard that he needed Phori's permission to release his EP and sounded off at the DJ.
“Let me tell you a story about gatekeeping. There is someone who told me that Maphorisa is going to be mad that I am dropping an EP, and I did not ask for his approval.”

Maphorisa has responded to Mac G and said that he has never belittled him. "@MacGUnleashed wats the problem we come far boy neva even once disrespected u why this wats the problem????," he tweeted.

Maphorisa has come out guns blazing on several occasions to slam rumours that he's the gatekeeper of the amapiano genre.

It follows the claim by a Twitter user that Davido made Amapiano popular in Nigeria. In a series of tweets Phori slammed the tweep.
