As the rest of the country celebrates Women's Day, the Masilela family are still mourning the passing of it's son, brother and husband Dumi Masilela.
Dumi Masilela's Memorial is currently underway at Hope Restoration Ministries in Kempton Park. Dumi Masilela's colleagues, friends, and family are already seated at the venue as the likes of Mduduzi Mabaso (Suffocate) and Skeem Saam's Clement Maosa share the great memories they remember of Dumi.
One thing each speaker has praised Dumi for is the amount of love he had for life and especially his wife Simphiwe Ngema.
An emotional Mdu who plays the role of Suffocate asked 'how can a person with so much love leave us?' as mourners try to hold in their tears.
During the memorial service, Dumi's song Ungasabi which he wrote and produced for Rhythm City was played as a video montage of some of his Rhythm City scenes were played on the screen.
Simphiwe is seen sitting next to Dumi's mother as the service continues, she is understandably emotional but strong, singing songs of praise with other mourners in the venue.
Dumi's single and video, Shona Phantsi is also being played at the memorial service. Mourners including her mom and Dumi's mom as well are seen smiling and dancing as they celebrate a life that was well lived.
This is Dumi's memorial program for the day.
Dumi Masilela passed away in the early hours of 3 August after succumbing to a gun shot wound he sustained in a hijack,
May his soul rest in peace.
