As South Africa tries to come to terms with the sudden passing of Rhythm City actor - Dumi Masilela it was apparent that the late actor tried by all means to get out of harms way.
According to ENCA reports, Police Spokesperson - Kay Makhubule confirmed that the hijacking incident occurred in Tembisa
"During that time the man was with his friend, and then they were approached by a Jeep which attempted to hijack them. And when they drove off the occupants in the Jeep shot the Golf 7 where a man was shot. He managed to drive off but the friend took over and took him to the hospital where he was reported dead this morning. We are investigating a case of attempted hijacking as well as murder."
No arrests have been made yet, but police officials are calling anyone who may have further information about the incident.
The hijacking happened at Limpopo street in Tembisa.
