Emtee Receiving Death Threats?

He is looking for bodyguards

Rapper Emtee has reportedly claimed to be receiving death threats for the past 2 years. A Twitter blog called MDN News reports that Emtee's latest threat came just after DJ Sumbody's death.

After DJ Sumbody died, Emtee reportedly received death threats via text which said, "DJ Sumbody is dead, You are next."- reports TshisaLive

That's not all, he also has been receiving these threats for the past 2 years. Sumbody died late 2022 after he was gunned down with his bodyguard.

He is also now looking for a bodyguard.


Following Sumbody's death, Cassper also decided to get more security personnel around him.

The rapper told Zimoja that he no longer feels safe as people are hungry out there.

“It’s not safe, man. I have been ignorant for a very long time and DJ Sumbody’s death woke me and made me realise that we are not safe. His death really f**ked me up,” he told the blog. “I am always walking around with expensive jewellery. I can’t afford to put my life at risk and tempt people."

“I also need to remember who I am; I am Cassper Nyovest. I am not just some normal guy who can just walk around freely. I would love to live like that, walk round the streets and not be recognised, but I am not that guy. Someone made me realise that this is not the way to go, and Sumbody’s death made me aware that I need to be safe and remember who I am,” the rapper explained.

Cassper concluded by saying, “People are hungry.”

Emtee has joined the many rappers who called Nota Baloyi and he even took it further by wishing death on the music exec, saying people will not attend his funeral. 

He does not regret saying the things he said because he believes Nota also said some mean things about him including calling him a drug addict.

Nota made some dangerous speculations about the death of AKA pointing fingers at his friends.
