Emtee also defended himself against negative reports suggesting he uses drugs. He said he has been sober but still smokes marijuana now and again. He also reiterated that he does not consume alcohol.
“All this drugs talk is pissi* me off. I even quit lean. I been sober for a minute so don’t come to me with that drug talk sh*t. I’m done with that life! Stop tryna push agendas here mi*unu,” Emtee boldly stated.
Emtee claims that his life is in danger following threats he has been receiving for the past 2 years. He told TshisaLive that the death threat he received recently reads: “DJ Sumbody is dead, You are next.”
“They started with DJ Sumbody, now AKA. Word on the streets is that either me or {another young rapper} are next. I received a message from this mysterious figure. I blocked him first time now he’s using another number,” he told the blog.
“People want to extort me for money I don’t have. After DJ Sumbody died, I got a message saying; ‘You are next’. I’ve been getting death threats for the past 2 years.”
