Rapper Emtee sparked conversation when he stated that he has been clean from a popular drug called lean for a minute now. He wanted to set the record straight because he has been facing rumours and accusations of being a drug user. Even the infamous NOTA always uses that aspect of Emtee's life but Big Hustla is tired.

The Manando hitmaker took to Twitter to let his fans know that he has been sober for some time now, and warned trolls to not bring that up ever again.
"All this drugs talk is pissi* me off. I even quit lean. I been sober for a minute so don’t come to me with that drug talk sh*t. I’m done with that life! Stop tryna push agendas here mi*unu," Emtee boldly stated. Although lean is considered as a type of drug, Emtee clarified that he never smoked or sniffed any other drugs, only lean.
Although Emtee was referring to lean when he mentioned drugs, he made it clear that he will never stop smoking weed.
He has always been vocal about not drinking alcohol, only lean which he has not touched in months. A very angry Emtee was asked by a fan why does he always have to be vulgar and swear at people, but he said he is tired of being cyber bullied. This whole back and forth with trolls was sparked by his tweet stating that he will stop rapping when he is 55 years old. A troll said he will not even see 36 years old, but Emtee got angry and asked if the person is a foreseer. He was told to stop drinking lean to which he responded with he is done with it.
Speaking of not seeing a certain age, Emtee believes he is next to get killed following the shocking death of AKA. He told TshisaLive that he had been receiving death threats and believes he would be next to die. The death threat he received recently reads: "DJ Sumbody is dead, You are next."
“They started with DJ Sumbody, now AKA. Word on the streets is that either me or {another young rapper} are next. I received a message from this mysterious figure. I blocked him first time now he’s using another number,” he told the blog.
“People want to extort me for money I don’t have. After DJ Sumbody died, I got a message saying; 'You are next'. I’ve been getting death threats for the past 2 years.”
