Kaizer Chiefs’ George Lebese arrested

George Lebese, who plays for Kaizer Chiefs, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. According to SAPA, the incident happened on Sunday in Silverton, Pretoria, where he allegedly assaulted her and damaged her car.

Kaizer Chiefs released a statement on their website to confirm the news. “Kaizer Chiefs have been informed that George Lebese has been accused of being involved in an incident. The player has handed himself over to the relevant authorities and the matter is being attended to.”

He was arrested on Tuesday and is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon, to face charges of assault and damage to property.

Hmm…we wonder what his view on marriage is now after the assault (If it’s true, of course). Maybe he and Tiger Woods ex-wife, Elin Nordegren should have a one on one discussion, seeing that they’re both into assaulting their spouses and their cars.
