Last week, SABC 1 confirmed that it was indeed holding auditions for a new unnamed drama series set to air on the channel.
The channel released dates on where and when the auditions would take place, the first auditions took place in KZN, whereas the second auditions took place today in Rosebank, Gauteng.
Excited hopefuls waited patiently for the day to finally arrive but unfortunately, their excitement turned into disappointment when the channel allegedly canceled the auditions whilst thousands of young people waited outside.
@Official_SABC1 auditions! Woooooow guys! Thanks for scamming us with fake open auditions. You are truly pushing us to withdrawing our support. You deserve failure. pic.twitter.com/uBIQd6y6v4

The turn out was massive that even police officials were called in for crowd control.
Auditionees expressed their anger via social media by tweeting and even posting videos about the situation.
