Never has a day gone by without Mzansi witnessing yet another incident or story of gender based violence. And when such a heinous act is committed by those we look up to like our celebrities, many are left wondering whether there is hope for this country at all.
Just recently, entertainment blogger Musa Khawula took to his Twitter to share a clip of Nelson Mandela’s grandson, Mbuso Mandela, admitting to abusing and strangling his girlfriend. In the video, Mbuso confesses saying, “I am a woman abuser”
Not only that but he also goes ahead to confess how he has abused his girlfriend, and mentions that the reason he is admitting to what he has been doing is because his girlfriend demanded that he does so. Check out the video below.

Taking to the comment section, you can already imagine how enraged tweeps are at this confession. For many, what seems to bother them the most is the fact that if it was not for his girlfriend insisting that he admits to being violent with her, this incident would never have seen the light of day.
For others, the fact that Mbuso has already admitted to his crimes means that the authorities should already be arresting him as clearly no other evidence is needed for what he has done.
And did he also just admit to strangling his girlfriend as well? This is not being taken lightly and tweeps hope that his girlfriend does not intend to stay in the relationship after all this.

But even as Mzansi and Black Twitter continue to rebuke and condemn Mbuso for his actions, it seems that tweeps are even more enraged with the fact that the Mandela name continues to be dragged into the most unfortunate instances.
According to them, Mandela’s grandchildren should just use their own parents surnames instead of trashing the name of one of the greatest leaders Mzansi has ever had. This is especially because, Mbuso was also allegedly accused of raping a 15 year old some time back. Is there really no end to all this madness?
Clearly this will not end well for Mbuso. It seems Black Twitter is well aware of his already notorious past and will not let this incident slide either. While it is not clear yet whether or not the authorities will take the necessary actions, Mzansi can only hope that his girlfriend has chosen reason and leaves while she still can.
