Captain of Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs got arrested Friday night on the N1 South, near the John Vorster Avenue off-ramp for speeding. Itu was traveling in his Kaiser Chiefs Nissan Duke when he was caught by the Pretoria Metro Police. He was then detained at the Lyttelton police station in Centurion and released on bail of R1 500, Khune will appear in court to face his charges.
Khune was traveling at a speed of 173km/h in a 120km/h zone and he was stopped by the cops after they clocked in his speed. Isaac Mahamba is the Tshwane metro police spokesman, he had to said: "A prominent Bafana player was arrested for speeding and detained at the Lyttelton police station.
"I can only divulge his name after he has appeared in court on Monday" he said.
Vina Maphosa spokesman of Kaizer Chiefs and Bobby Motaung had no idea that Khune was arrested.
