After being sent off for Kaizer Chiefs against AmaZulu on 9 April, Khune went on a bit of a childish rant on Twitter, slamming the Premier Soccer League for the poor standard of refereeing in the country. Khune was forced to miss matches for Amakhosi as a result of his ban, while his rant was not well received across South Africa.
Its about time action is taken against this referees by @OfficialPSL.they've been very poor since beginning of the season.????????

It appears that one of Khune's personal sponsors are not keen on the goalkeeper's actions. Vaseline are said to have cut their contract with the Bafana Bafana star short because of his Tweets. Sunday World broke the news on Tuesday, with the relationship seemingly broken beyond repair, as Vaseline do not like bad publicity. Not even Vaseline can fix these cracks.
Has Khune finally reached the end of his time in South African football. For a long time, the goalkeeper has been toying with the idea of testing his abilities overseas. There was even strong talk of a move to Europe during January, but nothing happened. Could this be the time for him to finally take the plunge? Could his rant be part of a bigger picture of frustration? We will find out soon enough, as the transfer window will open in just over two months. We think it may be time to go, Itu.
