Popular rapper Kwesta released a song he wrote for his sister in commemoration of Women’s Day on the 9th of August this year.
Entitled Suster, the song addresses young women and urges them to not fall for the tricks of men who want something they shouldn’t give away to strangers, but to rather empower themselves by aspiring to be great and becoming educated.
“To commemorate National Women's Day I decided to share a new music video for a song I wrote for my younger sister, with you and everyone dear to you on this day...” reads a message from Kwesta with the video he shared on his Facebook page.
“The song Suster is a love letter I dedicate to the young women of South Africa.”
The rapper also shared all the lyrics to the track, which include heartfelt phrases such as: “It never gets easy, sometimes the sun shine don't shine when its breezy, try to stand your ground and not float in the air like frisby.
“You bigger than the iceberg suster you shouldn't sink!
“Let us walk towards a future that is gonna be better .”
Suster is a track off Kwesta’s award-winning second album DaKAR.
