South African musician, Lady Zamar, has yet to speak directly about Sjava’s video which was released on Wednesday, 26 August 2020. The video heard her ex-lover strongly denying the rape allegations made against him, emphasising the fact that any incidents of assault simply did not happen.
Lady Zamar has come under fire since accusing Sjava of rape, with many questioning her story and siding with her ex. A few hours after the release of Sjava’s video, the Collide singer coincidently shared tweets which insinuated she was talking about the accused. She stated, “Amnesia is an interesting disease.”, and “Games people play”.
Fans were quick to respond to her statements, immediately relating it to Sjava. Zesizwe Mbele tweeted back, “I know that kind of amnesia when a person doesn’t want to admit or don't want to be held accountable.”
