Larger-than-life TV star Somizi Mhlongo was once regarded as Lasizwe's 'Industry Father'. He was a force to be reckoned with in his life and Lasizwe drew alot of inspiration from him. The two were close-knit and had Mzansi breathing through the wound with their friendship goals.
They served us with some hilarious content to die for on the social streets but recently they had a heart-wrenching fallout. Mzansi first noted this after Lasizwe was not spotted at Somizi's white wedding last month.
The extravagant wedding brought the country to a complete standstill and it was attended by the whose who in the South African entertainment industry, but the youtube sensation was snubbed an invite.
In an interview with Times LIVE, Lasizwe opened up about how he was stunned about not scoring an invitation to the wedding. He said "I was a little bit touched that I wasn't invited because when I came into the game, I looked up to Somizi. He was like an industry father and a lot of industry people didn't like our relationship and got into our relationship and interfered. They caused a rift between him and I.”
But today Lasizwe melted our hearts and had some of us reaching for the tissues when he penned down a moving post detailing how their fallout hit him hard. In a post, He described their fallout as of the most emotional situations he has gone through in his life.
He said, "Having a fallout with you was one of the most emotional situations I had to go through." The YouTube sensation said their fallout was based on naysayers' opinions which resulted in the collapse of their friendship.
Lasizwe said they have buried the hatchet now and he went to compliment Somizi on his wedding. He said it was a dream and he cried while watching it. " I'm glad we had our talk and ironed out our issues. I'm SO looking forward to building a more stronger bond and greater memories with you," he said.
