Longwe Twala has been involved in a series of dramatic incidents and the latest one is a shoplifting saga!

Chicco Twala's son, Longwe has been engulfed with all sorts of dramatic and unfortunate episodes of late. The 35 year old is now facing charges of shoplifting.

The incident is said to have taken place at The Glen's Pick 'n Pay supermarket, where a security guard nabbed Longwe for pocketing a shaving kit worth R199,99 in October 2019.

A statement seen by Sunday Sun reads: "At about 3:50 pm he (security guard) saw a black guy wearing a red jacket at aisle number nine. He took an OPNE Gillett Fusion Progline Manual, then moved up around and went to the butchery department where he put the item on his body. He then left the shop."

''The complainant ran after and stopped him and brought him back to the store and asked for the receipt. He did not have it. The suspect (Longwe) was arrested."

Police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters confirmed the shoplifting incident to the publication:

"It shows that it's a case of shoplifting. The suspect was arrested and will appear again in court on 22 January.

It's been a horrible start to the year for Longwe Twala. Twitter almost came to a standstill after a video showing Chicco Twala handing over his troublesome son at the Diepkloof Police Station went viral. Longwe had apparently stolen a cellphone from a man identified as Brian Phofedi in Soweto. Chicco was hell-bent on not bailing out his son, and as a result, Longwe is still behind bars. Can he turn things around?
