Lootlove Calls It Quits

Radio and TV personality Luthando Shosha whose popularly known as Lootlove has left Metro FM. Taking to her Instagram, Lootlove said she is leaving radio for now until it makes sense for her to return.

She wrote: “Year of my life has bought immense change and also made me incredibly fearless... with that said, I’m hanging up my headphones for now until it makes sense for me to glide on the airwaves again... In order to grow, you have to let go.”

Lootlove’s radio journey dates back to 2016. In 2017 she joined Metro FM together with DJ Speedsta as the new host of  Absolute Hip-Hop replacing the slot that was occupied by the Kings of The Weekend Sphectacula and DJ naves.

“A beautiful journey that started in 2016 with a bright-eyed young broadcaster who was ready to take over the airwaves.. and take over the airwaves she did! From #WideAwake with Adil to doing a House show, a little RnB show on Sundays... then Heading over and handling #AbsoluteHipHop then joining Saturday Breakfast With #TheWkndr then doing #TheHolidayViza this past December... it’s been a wild ride,” she wrote.

Her industry peers and fans wished her the best in her future endeavors.
Her former co-host DJ Speedsta said: “It was a pleasure working with you.”

Dineo Ranaka wrote: “I know the place that you are in Very well brave heart! Commend you for flirting with discernment in this fashion.

DJ Jawz: “Looty, I enjoyed working with you on Absolute Hip Hop. You never gave my scripts life and gave me a lot of comments for on air show promos. You have been such a breeze to work and adapt to a new environment. Keep growing LOOTY, love you”

Lootlove is currently a presenter on the SABC 3’s talk show  Trending SA alongside MaBlerh, Moeti ‘Mo Flava’ Tsiki, and Lesego Tlhabi. They replaced  Elma Smit and Refiloe Mpakanyane who were with the Trending SA for the previous season.

South Africa was introduced to Lootlove back in May 2012 as a presenter of SABC1’s Live AMP after she won the  SABC 1 Live Presenter search competition. After Live AMP, LootLove then hosted SABC 1’s music show called the Urban Music Experience. In 2017 she became the host of an MTV show titled The Come Up. Her career has been growing immensely ever since.
