West Ink superstar, Mampintsha appears to have had the last laugh after the success of his controversial single. This comes after his music was removed from iTunes and Apple music last month.

You might recall that when iTunes announced that they had removed Mampintsha's music, him and his manager Dogg DBN let it be known that they were unimpressed. Fast forward to May 2019 and Mampintsha feels like he has come out on top despite the move by the streaming giants.

In a move that bought them some social clout, iTunes removed all of Mampintsha's music in the wake of his abuse scandal with Babes Wodumo. The West Ink boss was seen hitting his on-and-off girlfriend in an Instagram live video, adding weight to allegations that he had been abusing her all along.

Mampintsha released the video for his newest single, Khona Ingane Lay'ndlini on Friday and it featured none other than Babes Wodumo herself. Let's just say, not everybody appreciated this newest video and before the end of the day Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo were a trending topic.

In the end, all of our chatter only helped promote the video which has now accumulated 250,000 views at the time of writing and is on course to gain even more. As well as this, Mampintsha's new track appears to be topping the iTunes charts once again.

Boasting about the latest news, Mampintsha said:

As it turns out, in South Africa where domestic violence is at an alarming rate, even if you hit your girlfriend, if you're famous enough to make music about it, you will still succeed.

Do you feel as if you'll be able to take Babes and Mampintsha's abuse drama seriously from now on?
