In the post, she wrote in part: “I’ve taken the very painful decision of separating from my husband, the love of my life, the man of my dreams. My ride or die. Sometimes in life, the best thing you can do is the hardest thing you’ve ever done. We will always remain friends and fantastic parents to our children – and we will always love and care for each other.”
Shortly after that, Masechaba was interviewed on Real Talk with Azania where she announced that divorce was not on the cards, “sometimes you go in there, you and your partner, really undermining what it really takes to have a successful marriage. And not only from a sort of roles perspective but understanding yourself and what it is to be a good wife, what it is to be a good husband, and I don’t wanna lie to you; we have separated but divorce is not on the cards.”
