Mohale Motaung was thrust into the height of fame when his beau, Somizi Mhlongo, shared that he had met the love of his life. The actor has since been seen making the moves in the industry. But now that he's been in the spotlight for a while, he understands the power he holds.

The star recently joined the cast of MTV's SHUGA. In each season, the show tackles several societal issues in an effort to educate the greater South African audience. This season, Mohale joined the cast to help bring attention to the importance of sexual education, including in the LGBTIQ+ community.

Mohale spoke about the stigma about gay sexual health in an interview on YFM earlier this week. Mohale said that he joined the show because this very important health education issue is not spoken about enough in South Africa.

"There is a lot of information but it is not portrayed enough. It is not spoken about. People don't want to talk about sex. People don't want to talk about those little topics we actually should be talking about. We need more channels to get it to people...I was able to open my mind and help other people understand that it is okay to talk about sex. You are a man, you like men. You are going to have sex. There is prep for that."

We hope that Mohale has been able to help this very important initiative reach a wider audience!
