Moshe recently joined the 3rd season of the show and he plays Andile Faku- a teacher at Gomora High School. Avid watchers of the show have taken to social media to drag his acting skills. They believe he’s not doing justice to the role and he only got it because he has a huge following on social media.
Viewers of the show have always criticized his infamous acting skills, which is why the producers are being pressured to axe him because he simply isn't cutting it.
Moshe joined the show as one of the fresh faces on this season who were cast to shake things up. He joined Gomora after Zolisa Xaluva reportedly dumped the show due to an alleged dispute with the producers of the show.
TshisaLIVE reported that he left because he had too much on his plate. He acknowledged that mistakes were made during the writing process in an interview with the publication, and he expressed the possibility of his return in the future.
“We decided to put a reset button on the character. Melusi drifted from being an upstanding member of society and became a philanderer. Writing mistakes were made, like the character development was inconsistent with the principles and gains acquired in season 1.
"The story of his imprisonment is a chance at redemption. The departure has been amiable and we all look forward to the possibility of a return,” he told the publication.
The local entertainment director of M-Net, Shirley Adonisi, confirmed Xaluva's departure: "In season 3 the major story plot is centred around Sonto’s devastation as she is forced to watch Thati becoming the worst version of herself. The new season promises to be riveting, as viewers expect with Mzansi Magic productions. Mzansi Magic would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Zoliswa Xaluva for his contribution to the success of Gomora season 1 and 2 by bringing the Melusi character to life. We are also in awe of Buyile Mdladla’s sterling performance as Phumlani in season 2. We look forward to working with Zoliswa and Buyile in the future.”
