Award-winning Afropop and house music singer Asanda Mvana popularly known as Msaki, left her legions of fans worried on Friday 25 November after she took to her Twitter account to pen a lengthy thread where she poured her heart out about her mental health.

This follows after making headlines two weeks ago for allegedly having an affair with a married man- Smash Afrika. The singer was unbothered by the claims. Taking to Twitter, Msaki addressed her fans asking about their health, and told them that nothing has changed.

"Nisafety guys? Nothing has changed here. I have nothing but love for you & I will always be focused on my attempts to write songs to encourage & to uplift. I know many of you see my heart. My devotion is to sing us better. That’s my purpose here. Namaste Otherwise. Love Msaki, " she tweeted.

In a lengthy thread, the Fetch Your Life hitmaker announced that she would be taking some time off from music and needed time to herself. She said "This space is not for me. I’m not a celebrity, something too unduly pedestaled or pardoned when I’m wrong, or pulled apart when the internet trolls are bored."

She pleaded with the masses to be kind and made reference to the likes of Musa Khawula, Nota, and Chris Excel who are constantly bashing people on social media.

"I thought this message would be on my birthday the 31st of December.
But it’s just pouring out of me today. Be kind to the trolls, they are hurting deep. The Notas, the Chris nton nton’s , the Musa’s etc," she wrote.

She continued “Make them null and void. We need compassion, and care and patience for each other. Things are getting worser.”

She said her goodbyes to her fans and said she will honor her current bookings until March next year "I know we can do it. I believe in you guys. As for me, I’ll see you in real life and on the other side. My songs will always find you so I’m not completely gone. My team will share.
She also tweeted "I know I’m not made to be here for long. My heart is way too supple. I’ve also known this since from those first falls on the playground nursing scabs with monkey blood. I accepted it in a very deep place.  Art is the only way I could live long."

We hope she will come back stronger.
