Ntsiki Mazwai has come to the defence of Black Land First president, Andile Mngxitama, after a video of him giving a radical speech went viral.

Andile split the country in two when he spoke to a crowd of onlookers at a rally in Potchefstroom this week. In his speech, he stated that if white people killed a single black person, then black people would retaliate. His words: "We will kill their women, we will kill their children, we will kill their dogs, we will kill their cats, we kill anything that comes for us.”

While it’s important to emphasise that ZAlebs does not share or condone these views, the comments have attracted a lot of debate across Mzansi and one person who couldn’t wait to get on the subject is Ntsiki.

She took to Twitter to react to not only the video but the suggestion that Mngxitama is an anti-white extremist.

It didn’t end there, however. She insisted that the reason why black people in particular had an issue with Andile’s comments is because they/we have been whitewashed.

She continued:

Her comments inspired even further debate, much of it constructive, on social media. On the other end of the spectrum, many South Africans felt as if the violent nature of Mngxitama’s comments was a step too far and he is being investigated by the South African Human Rights Commission.
