For the most part, different political, social, economic views or just bad blood always sees our celebrities at loggerheads with each other with some of the most popular South African celeb feuds being Pearl Thusi vs Bonang.
It is normal to have that one person you don’t quite get along with but it’s a whole different level altogether when you are a Ntsiki Mazwai type who literally feuds with half of the South African entertainment industry on Twitter.
The 38-year-old poet and musician is usually in the media for her opinionated character which has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, especially with other celebrities because of her constant criticism and the guts to lash out at other stars on Twitter.
From sibling rivals to nonstop Twitter clashes with celebrities like Leanne Manas and Euphonik to her spat with EFF leadership and ANC Women’s League, no one is safe from Ntsiki's wrath. Whilst some people might argue that Ntsiki is just speaking the truth, others feel that the queen of shade sometimes just doesn’t know where and when to draw the line.
But however this is South Africa and the poet has the freedom of expression to do as she pleases with her Twitter account though it is difficult for the star to avoid lawsuits as she is often dragged to court for defamation of character over some offensive tweets.
However, Ntsiki’s statements often provoke small Twitter issues into national debates, like that time when she disregarded Nomzamo Mbatha as an activist and it seems the country is more acquainted to her twars than the experience to her craft and we can't blame them really as controversy is sometimes more attractive than the former.
Anyway, Ntsiki still holds some positivity within her as she also supports sobriety amongst artists as she says alcohol and drugs have a negative impact on the industry hence the decision to stay sober.
With a masters degree in arts from Rhodes University, Ntsiki’s career spans from poetry, writing and rap music to random acts of kindness which has seen her receive some notable awards overtime proving that she is not just a blabbermouth.
