Fast & Furious star Paul Walker dies; family speaks out

It's a sad morning this Sunday as news circulating across entertainment news outlets revolves around the death of 40 year old The Fast and the Furious actor, Paul Walker. The actor's death was confirmed by his publicist this morning and will come as a shock to many fans of the man's acting as well as fans of the Fast and the Furious franchise.

Walker was a passenger in a friend's car as the pair were making their way to a charity event in Los Angeles before the fatal crash occured, killing both of them. It wasn't long before rumors began circulating, and not long after that the news of Paul Walker's death was confirmed by his publicist. Shortly after that, Paul Walker's family posted a statement on his Facebook and Twitter account.

The statement read:

It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - #TeamPW

This news will come as a shock to many as fans around the world had grown to be massive fans of the actor following a string of explosive roles in the car-action hit movie franchise, The Fast and the Furious. Walker's co-actor in the series, Vin Diesel, posted his reaction (Seen above) to the news on his personal Instagram account. 

Co-Stars including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson have taken turns to express their deepest condolences, and the news of the actor's death continues to dominate social networks.
