'I'm Very Sad'

Pearl Modiadie recently took to Instagram to honour her mom on the anniversary of her death. The star who has been in the entertainment industry since she was a child has always been open about her journey without her mother.

On the anniversary of her mother’s passing, Pearl shared a touching message,
“I’m sad today. I’m very sad today. It’s the 9th of May & this day will forever take me back to the moment I lost my mother. It’s the day my sisters, my aunts and I watched my mother’s soul leaving her body. I had fed her that morning and she kept asking all of us what time it was,” she wrote. A couple of months ago, Anele also took to her Instagram page to share a heartfelt message her dad wrote on the day her mom passed away 10 years ago. The Mdoda sister sent a lot of tongues wagging with the gentle yet powerful post.

“Message from my dad on the day my mom passed ten years ago. #10years on! On this day, 10 years ago I made a covenant (umnqophiso) with God. He/She pledged to be by my side when I asked Him ‘what do I do now that you have taken my pillar of strength. As man, how do I handle nurturing and raising four girls at their tender age?'”
