According to Drum Magazine, businessman Prosper Mkwaiwa has passed away. His death, which took place while he was being taken to Bronkhorstspruit hospital, has been trending on Twitter since.
The publication also mentioned that the businessman had complained about his body temperature being too high shortly before being taken to the emergency room.
His death came after a near fatal car accident he had last year.
Prosper leaves behind his wife Tina Mkwaiwa and his children.
Industry peers, such as the likes of Arthur Mafokate have been experiencing difficulties in accepting this sudden loss. On his Instagram account Arthur wrote:
“I’ve been in denial for the past 1 hour 30 minutes #RIPProsper”
Whilst P.R guru Hypress posted a dark image with the captions:
“What a dark, dark weekend in the entertainment industry. Not a great way to start the year after losing 3 awesome powerhouse industry players.”
It has indeed been a dark time for the South African entertainment industry as Prosper’s death comes after the passing of Top Billing presenter, Simba Mhere and House DJ Bojo Mujo this past weekend.
