Then in a split second, one is being told that:”No,actually we think you’re earning too much, let’s reduce your salary now, shall we?… These news would break even the toughest amongst us.
Sunday Sun reported that the producers of Imbewu:TheSeed have decided to reduce their staff’s salaries hence they believed that they are earning “too much”. This has said to have angered some of the staff because not all actors are affected by this heartbreaking move. Actors that are allegedly not affected include, Tony Kgoroge, Melusi Yeni, Thembi Mtshali and of course Leleti Khumalo who also happens to be the show’s executive producer.
This is not the first time whereby the behind the scenes drama had ensued at the Imbewu offices, the producers of the show had to relieve Mpumelelo Bhulose, who portrayed the character of the Bhengu patriarch, Zimele Bhengu.
Word on the streets is that, the talented actor had an arrogant streak that irked his superiors. Other claims include being bitterly disrespectful to his fellow cast mate and also executive producer, Leleti Khumalo, whom he allegedly refused to take orders from her citing that it’s because she is his peer.
