Somizi Mhlongo got trolled after pictures of a Sarafina reunion went viral and he was not in them. The reality TV star was part of the historic Sarafina film which was released 30 years ago.
Leleti Khumalo, Whoopi Goldberg and many of our local talent were part of the movie which depicted the struggles the youth of 1994 faced during the apartheid Era.
The producer Anant Singh hosted a screening to celebrate the milestone the film has reached in New York along with several cast members.

In the screening Leleti Khumalo who played Sarafina spoke so fondly of the producer. Leleti Khumalo said, “I lived the role of Sarafina on stage, and I am grateful to Anant for believing in me to play the role in the film. I am thrilled to be here in person to celebrate this milestone and to share this special moment with Whoopi, ” she said as quoted by Videovision Entertainment.
However Somizi was not included and some people even made jokes about his concerning absence.
Although he never revealed the reason he was not included in the screening, Somizi has been posting how booked and busy he is and he even has bookings for 2023!
Somizi announced that for his 50th birthday celebration he will be having a concert to celebrate his birthday.
He believes his life and career has been in an upward trajectory through God's grace so he will not just have a small celebration.
He said he will be joined by many of his friends in the industry to celebrate his birthday, "Eish I wanted to share this on Monday but the excitement is too much to hold. So I’m turning 50 in December….. and there was no way it was gonna be just an ordinary day.
" God has been and still is amazing to me and I wanna celebrate in a big way…. You guys have also played a huge role in my life and career and still here with me moving forward….. so I called all my friends in the arts industry ( music, theatre, television, sports, politics ) to join me on stage on the 28th January 2023 @suncityresortsa Super Bowl infront of thousands of my supporters watching live," he said.
Somizi said the line up will be announced in due course.
Somizi then boasted about his career which lasted for more than 4 decades.

On his bookings for next year, Somizi will be going on a cruise with other entertainers in March.
