The matter of Lady Zamar’s accent has been a contentious matter since her appearance in the last season of Idols South Africa (SA) as a guest judge.
Many had dragged the Collide singer on social media by inquiring where she is from because of the “American” her accent sounded.
While the matter of how she sounds was put in the backburner because of more pressing issues recently; like her ongoing situation with ex-boyfriend, Sjava, and whether or not she has dropped the charges after accusing him of sexual assault.
The matter was rehashed after the songstress posted a video about her upcoming performance.
Lady Zamar is scheduled to perform as part of the Jameson Stay Inn live stream that is set to take place on Saturday on Jameson’s YouTube channel.
She posted a video promoting her performance as she is the last act scheduled to perform as part of the initiative.
While her fans used the comments section to confirm that they will be tuning in. Other tweeps commented by dragging her over accent. Many of the trolls continued the joke that the accent is fake, and that she does not speak like that in real life.
