Tbo Touch denies SABC drama, signs new deal

Tbo Touch is speaking out after he was accused of causing the SABC to R15m due to alleged diva behaviour.

The Metro FM DJ was suspended recently, and according to the Sunday World, he was taken off-air after refusing to follow orders.

The publication claimed that Touch refused to refer to his show as the “Hyundai Rush Hour” as required for an ad agreement.

His refusal, according to the Sunday World, led to the car company pulling a R15-million contract with the SABC.

The DJ was also allegedly involved in a confrontation with a producer, and was reprimanded for introducing a new segment on his show without approval.

Tbo Touch is denying the paper’s claims, and has reportedly signed a new three-year deal with Metro FM.

So why was Touch taken off-air? The SABC is mum on the details, but hopefully we learn more when he returns to his popular show within the next week.
