Thuli Phongolo is far from being a diva. The actress, who plays Namhla on Generations: The Legacy, has set the record straight about some of those false stories that have been written about her.
About two weeks ago, Drum reported that the actress was all over some of her male colleagues at the Durban July.
Speaking to Arye Kellman on CliffCentral recently, Thuli said she’s learnt to guard her space and reputation in the media. “There was an incident with some two publications… the Durban July thing. It will always be twisted to what people want to read about. That’s definitely not who I am.”
On being accused of being a diva, Thuli told Arye: “I’m definitely not a diva. I’m last to being a diva… I’m thankful to those two journalists who wrote those stories because they woke me up, they showed me the ABC and D of guarding my reputation and stuff like that, and also being aware, more than anything especially when you’re in a public space like that.”
She also made it clear that she’s not dating Skeem Saam actor Eric Macheru.
