Rapper Tshego is not impressed with Cassper Nyovest claiming to have inspired Focalistic and other rappers. This comes after his back and forth with Focalistic on social media recently.

The former Family Tree signee ripped into his former boss on social media when he said he inspired every rapper. In the song, OohAhh Cassper Nyovest seems angry with the SA hip-hop industry.

“Inspired everyone of you nigg*s, including Foca,” the verse by Cassper Nyovest says.

But hitting back at Cassper, Focalistic went on Instagram live and said, “There's no way I can pay you for inspiring me. Michael Jackson inspired me as well. I could pay him, but he's passed on. So if you inspired me, sharp bro, but I'm live at the Eiffel Tower now. From Pretoria to Paris. You are actually supposed to be inspired by me. That will never change.”

Cassper responded to Foca and he was not in anyway dissing Focalistic or anybody else, “Wasn't a diss. All I meant was that I was proud to have inspired an artist like him who is flourishing like he is. He said it himself that he was inspired by me so it was nothing new but now shit's weird now. He should've responded with a song if he wanted to take it there.”

Giving his own opinion on this, Tshego said, “Only egotistical men who lack confidence will fix their lips to tell another man they put them on.”

The Hennessey rapper then went on to mention Riky Rick who is featured in the song. Riky always helped other artists but Tshego says Riky never wanted to take any credit.

“If you told Riky he put someone on that man would get visibly uncomfortable. He never owned that because he knew it was also bigger than him. Stop “putting people on” if you don’t understand it’s God who decides. Don’t take credit for his work you were just a vessel, it would’ve been another one if not you.”

Tshego and Cassper are not exactly on good terms after he revealed he was never paid a cent for his music. "If I told you I haven’t seen a single cent (sales) from Hennessy, Garden, The Vibe, Tell Em Say, So High, Dem Ah Wind, etc... What would you say? Mind you, I OWN THE MASTERS ON ALL THESE SONGS!" the rapper wrote.

Tshego said he would pursue legal action, "Been fighting a very silent legal battle. And when I win this case on Monday the humble sh*t stops."

He then later revealed he won the case. But he set the record straight on a few things, "Africori was never the problem. They had no idea the label was not sub-accounting to their artists. Instead just pocketing everything that was distributed by Africori as their own. I NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING. THATS ALL MY SHIT. Produced by ME, recorded by ME, at MY STUDIO.

"A sincere thank you @KMalatji and the #TailorMadeLaw team for getting my catalogue back in my possession after all my calls, emails, and texts failed. Thank you #Africori for realising my catalogue was for none to earn from but myself. We’re setting a precedent," he said
