Keeping fans informed via twitter, Drum magazine covered the event held in her honour at the SABC headquarters in Auckland Park on Thursday.
The publication tweeted: “Tshepo Maseko: We met at school and she was the brightest and loudest at school.
“She was feisty and strong willed. Larger than life.
“The last time I saw her she was in all white and I asked her why she was wearing all white and she said ‘I’m an angel’
“It is a bad habit to meet when a creative’s spirit is out. This is the largest gathering of creative I’ve seen because of you Lesego.
“What Lesego has done in life is incredible. She knew her story. It’s a sad moment that I won’t hear her voice again saying ‘Parsons!’
“We will always cherish her passion for life.”
